Excuses, Excuses
So I bet you all have been wondering where I have been. I will say, I do have a very good excuse for why book 3 hasn't come out and why I haven't been blogging. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer. I have been fighting it for almost a year now. So far, everything is in the clear and I am back to feeling like myself again. Starting in May, I'm going to lock myself away to try and get the third book finished. It will come out this year, I promise. I've just been too busy taking care of myself and my family. I am so sorry for the absence so with that I will give you some info from the 3rd book. ALL lose ends will be tied up. People you thought you could trust are the enemies. People you fell in love with you will now hate... Nice little twists right from the beginning...

Carnival In Darkness to Come Out on Paperback
I'm very happy to announce that I have finally proofed my copy of Carnival In Darkness and am getting ready to approve it to be published. I have had very positive feedback from the few customers that have already purchased the Kindle edition. I'm hoping I will have the same success with this book as I did with Descending Into Darkness.
Customers love how all the left open questions from Descending Into Darkness are answered in Carnival In Darkness. The twists and turns have gotten a following of loyal readers, which I am very thankful for. Already have requests coming in for the 3rd book, Betrayed By Darkness which is due out in the fall. It makes an author feel good when their website is spammed by readers wanting the next book.

Playing the Waiting Game
I finished book 2 in my Katherine Sinclair series. Now comes the waiting game. Waiting for Kindle to get it ready, waiting for CreateSpace to publish it and waiting for readers to buy it. I'm going to do a promo for Descending Into Darkness to try and pull readers into the second book, Carnival In Darkness. In the mean time, I have to try and catch up with all of my reviews, emails and update every site I have found myself belonging to.

The Marketing Hole
As a self-publishing author, readers may not understand the difficulties of trying to market yourself. Most become upset if you insert your books into forum threads while others welcome the posts. I've spent a month trying to come up with easy, simple, cheap ways of marketing my books and have found zero resources for it. You have to sit back and second guess yourself, wondering if the genre you are writing is really open to Indie authors. Only time will tell.

Getting down to the wire
Only about 50 pages away from the next book being finished. It's amazing how much you can add with just editing a small chapter. I'm doubting this book. The first book has been doing very well, ranked 75 on Amazon's Hottest New Release for Romance/Vampire. But even though I know this one is better, I still doubt it. I think that is an author's worst fear. But I will publish anyways. Others want to see the next installment of the Katherine Sinclair Novels and I will give it to them.
